This women’s day I …

This women’s day I read my niece a 80 page book that she gracefully listened to for an hour. Educating her was such an empowering feeling.

This women’s day I reminded myself how proud I am of everything I have done so far— for all my decisions, my experiences, my achievements, my failures. That I am not just a good daughter, wife and sister but also a good citizen of earth and a great working professional.

This women’s day I decided to remind myself everyday that I am beautiful inside out and I will strive to be better than what I was yesterday. That every single hair falling out of my scalp is ready to go and I’m okay with it, that I am still beautiful with a little dark circle around my eye, that my beauty is not what YOU see, but what I feel.

This women’s day I promised to be kind to myself every day. That I will not be strong like a man, but stronger like a woman.

This women’s day, I promised to keep my eyes, ears and mind open and be a more responsible person of the global community. That I will be a change maker.

Every day is women’s day! Everyday is your day!
